DAY 1 – 5
These days are the same as the Cape Town 5 Day Flexi Tour.
DAY 6
We leave Cape Town on the N2 and drive through Swellendam to the Garden Route Game Lodge in Albertinia. Enjoy a Big 5 sunset game drive, dinner and a soak in the hotsprings under the stars. You have the option of staying at the Game Lodge for a nominal fee upgrade (Guest house option includes game lodge accommodation). We stay on a private guest farm outside Albertinia.
DAY 7
The day starts with an early morning game drive and breakfast. Then we head to Oudtshoorn via the spectacular Robinson Pass. Spend the afternoon at the Cango Caves and rideing ostriches at the Ostrich Farm before retiring to Backpackers Paradise where we will spend the night and have a BBQ in the boma.
DAY 8
After breakfast we head over the Outeniqua Pass down to the coast. Canoe on the Wilderness Lagoon and spot some of the 200 species of birds in the Wilderness National Park. There’s plenty of time for the thrill- seekers to jump the highest bungy at Bloukrants and walk the hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park. We spend the night at the Didge Backpackers in Stormsriver Village.
DAY 9
You have the option of boat-based dolphin and whale watching in Plettenberg Bay (in season). We visit Knysna for lunch and to explore the Knysna Heads. On route to Swellendam we visit an aloe factory in Albertinia. There’s also an optional ride on South Africa’s longest foefie-slide. Our final destination is a private guest farm on the Buffeljagts Dam where you can enjoy a traditional meal cooked in front of you.
DAY 10
Breakfast is served before we leave for Hermanus. Shark cage diving is an optional extra. We explore Hermanus, watch the whales (in season) and taste some wine at a winery. Later, we leave Hermanus for Betty’s Bay where we visit the penguins at Stony Point. We journey back to Cape Town in the late afternoon along the stunning False Bay coastline. The tour ends at Saltycrax Backpackers in Table View where you can kick back and relax on your final night.
