The new SaltyCrax website was released and went live yesterday (19 March 2009). Carla approached us

in November last year to help her neaten up the tours and adventures part of her current website. In August we had done a brochure for SaltyCrax and had all the information collated and on file. Since we did not know anything about Wordpress but knew a lot about Joomla it made more sense to us to redo her website than it did to learn the ins and outs of another CMS.
Carla was mostly happy with colours and the look of her existing website so all we had to do was modify an existing Joomla template to match her old websites look and colouring. We chose to modify one of the default Joomla install templates, ja_purity.
Imperative to the setup of the Joomla install was that the site could host a small ‘Salty Community’ where guests and staff could interact with the site. This was achieved on the site with the use of the popular Joomla component “Community Builder” . Community builder then plugs into the gallery component “joomgallery” that will allow guests to upload their own pictures and to comment and tag on uploaded pictures.
