You will be spending the night at Saltycrax in the 4 star accommodation.

DAY 2 - SaltyCrax to The Beach Camp, Cape Columbine Nature Reserve
After Breakfast we leave Table View behind and we head down the R27 West Coast road towards Groote Post for some wine tasting. The winery is situated in a lovely green valley threaded by the Klawer River, a stream really, all watched over by the beautifully restored Cape Dutch Klawer Valley homestead and the imposing slave bell (depicted on the Groote Post wine labels).
We then head on over to !Khwa Ttu San Culture and Education Centre for a three hour tour. This fascinating insight into the culture, heritage, knowledge and modern-day life of the San of southern Africa entails accompanying a group of !Khwa Ttu’s qualified San guides, who will lead you through a truly exceptional experience.
After enjoying lunch (own expense) at the restaurant at !Khwa Ttu, we head on through to The Beach Camp in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve. Here you can stroll around at your leisure, delighting in the spectacular scenery. In spring (August to October) the area is covered in a bright tapestry of wild flowers.
We spend the night on the Beach in structured tents and have dinner around the camp fire.

DAY 3 - The Beach Camp
Those that want to experience Sea Kayaking (optional activity) from The Beach Camp, near the small West Coast fishing village of Paternoster, will wake up early while those less energetic will remain snuggled in their tents listening to the sounds of birds heralding in the day.
After breakfast, we head out to the West Coast Fossil Park for a tour. Five million years ago the Cape West Coast was very different from what it is today with a wide range of now extinct animals living in riverine forests, wooded savanna, the adjacent sea and on offshore islands. We then have lunch on the Beach at the famous open-air strandlooper restaurant. Here you will eat to your hearts desire with 6 courses including mussels, fish , traditional stews and crayfish.

After lunch, we head back to Cape Columbine Nature Reserve. This reserve boasts one of the last manually controlled lighthouse to be built in South Africa. It is usually the first South African lighthouse to be seen by ships coming from Europe.
We then head back down to The Beach Camp in “Soldaten Baai” were we will freshen up and have some time to contemplate the day while listening to the sound of the fire crackling under the starry skies.

DAY 4 - The Beach Camp, Cape Columbine Nature Reserve to Gecko Creek, Private Nature Reserve
We leave The Beach Camp behind after breakfast and head off to Elands Bay to discover some unusual San Rock Art and a cave.
What makes the cave so interesting is its changed position over time in relation to the sea. Today the site is near the sea, but about 18,000 years ago the sea was about 40km away.
Next we head out to Lamberts Bay to explore Bird Island where we can view gannets, cormorants, penguins and seals. We will have lunch in lamberts bay (own expense). Then is off to
Gecko Creek Private Nature Reserve where you can swim and relax in their refreshing saltwater pool, while keeping an eye out for the rare Black eagle and Mountain leopard
After dinner we will gather around the fire-warmed open-air Boma, lie back and watch the stars - like ‘diamonds on velvet’ with a shooting star every 15 minutes.

DAY 3 - Gecko Creek
You will wake up to the sun creeping over the rugged mountains – a new day has begun and breakfast is served. Those that feel like discovering this spectacular landscape on horseback can enjoy an optional horse-riding trip. Later we head off to Algeria Reserve to hike and explore this remarkable reserve. We will picnic in the nature reserve where you will have time to swim in the fresh mountain river.
We then head on back to Gecko Creek Private Nature Reserve to watch the sun set on yet another spectacular day in Africa while enjoying your dinner.
